These terms govern your access to and use of sova.ae. They are terms of website use only. They are not terms of business, and they do not govern any engagement between you and SOVA, which is governed by a separate signed engagement letter and terms of business that prevail over anything stated here.

1. Who operates this website

sova.ae is operated by SOVA FZ LLC, a limited liability company registered in Fujairah Creative City, United Arab Emirates, under Licence No. 18524/2022 (SOVA, we, us). SOVA is licensed as legal consultants and corporate service providers.

2. Acceptance

By accessing or using this website you accept these terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not accept them, you must not use this website.

3. Information, not advice

All content on this website — including pages, briefings, publications and downloadable materials — is provided for general information only. It is not legal, tax, regulatory or other professional advice, it is not tailored to your circumstances, and it may not reflect the most recent developments. You must not act, or refrain from acting, in reliance on any content of this website without obtaining advice on your particular situation.

4. No client relationship

Accessing this website, sending an enquiry through it, and receiving a response from us do not create a client relationship and do not give rise to any duty on our part to advise you. A client relationship arises only when we have completed our client acceptance procedures and an engagement letter has been signed. Until then, information you send to us is not subject to the protections that attach to a client engagement, and we may act for parties whose interests are adverse to yours.

5. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, layout, design, graphics, and the SOVA name and marks, is owned by SOVA or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may access, download and print content for your own internal, non-commercial reference, provided all proprietary notices are retained. Any other use — including reproduction, republication, distribution, adaptation, or use in any commercial or promotional context — requires our prior written consent.

6. Downloadable materials

Briefings and other materials made available for download are provided on the same basis as the rest of this website: as general information, current as at the date shown on the document, and not updated thereafter. They may not be redistributed, in whole or in part, as though they were your own, and any permitted use must retain attribution to SOVA.

This website contains links to third-party websites, provided for convenience. We have no control over those websites, do not endorse them, and accept no responsibility for their content, availability or treatment of your personal data. Following such a link is at your own risk.

8. Availability

We make no commitment that this website will be available uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of it without notice, and we may change or remove content at any time.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

This website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

You agree not to use this website in any way that is unlawful, or that could damage, disable or impair it or interfere with any other party's use of it, and not to attempt unauthorised access to any part of it or to any system or network connected to it.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Fujairah. The courts of Fujairah have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.

13. Jurisdictional reach

This website is directed at persons in the United Arab Emirates and the wider Gulf. We make no representation that its content is appropriate or available for use in other jurisdictions, and those who access it from elsewhere do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law.

14. Severability and amendment

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. We may amend these terms by publishing a revised version on this page with a new effective date; continued use of the website after publication constitutes acceptance.
